unfortunately the sd1 is not a low light camera.. i would not buy the sd1 for that purpose.. this is a studio camera and and for subjects that stand still and can be shot at iso200.. anything above that you will start to see posterization/noise and you will be disappointed.. hopefully the next firmware will improve iso400-1600.. i was hoping for cleaner results when i first got this camera but that’s the way it goes with foveon sensors..
